My fav time of the year

Hello from beautifully-autumn-colored New Brunswick!!

If you're in the area, get outside and enjoy the colors before they are gone and we are bombarded with mountains of yucky cold white stuff!

What's Lenora been wearing?

Hello bunnies,

The last few days I've been terribly sick with what I jokingly call Doom Virus 2011. The seasonal change usually triggers a hefty cold every year, and this year was no different. Luckily I am back up and running!

The only exciting news I have to share is that I was nominated and elected as executive Media Coordinator for our town's LGBTQI non-profit, River of Pride (who organize/fundraise for our yearly Pride festivities as well as promote and run education programs in the community). I've been wanting to volunteer my time now that I have more of it free, and this is the perfect opportunity to give back to a community that has given me so much support, friendship, love and memories over the years.

Not much else is new ,so, here are some of my recent outfits. Everyone likes a good fa(t)shion post , eh?

Lately I've been really into beehives, as at night I can't be bothered to pincurl my hair. I love fall and am happy to be able to break out my cutest vintage gloves, cardigans, tights and such.

What has everyone been wearing now that fall has set in? Any wardrobe staples? Scarves, tights, booties?

Hot summer afternoon- exposed luscious flesh, and 1st totally handmade garment

Hello my darling!

I've been neglecting this blog, my apologies. Things are going full-force over at www.fatglamkitchen.com, I've been devoting most of my time to cooking up a storm and sharing it with the world.

Not much is new besides fitting in some thrifting when I can, and getting outside as much as possible. Today is one of the warmest days we've had this year, and I dressed appropriately.

I thought I'd share my outfit today, not only because I love it, but it was wonderfully empowering to go out in public with my midriff exposed. Yes, fatgirls can wear tummy-tops, too. Suck on that, haters.

Also, I'm proud to say I made the skirt myself, from vintage 1950s fabric I scored from an antique shop for $10/a bolt, sewn with a slightly altered vintage pattern. It was the first garment I've made 100% from scratch, while it isn't perfect, I'm very happy with it!

My hat is vintage , which I embellished myself with lots of flowers to cover a hole. Make do and Mend!

Happy Summer, everyone!
